M.R. Cardenas is a Chicago born Houston based skilled Portrait Photographer who is passionate about capturing the most precious moments of your life. M.R. Cardenas Photography began her venture into photography in 2015 and became obsessed with the fundamentals that make a great photograph: light, shadows, composition, and emotion.

Since she picked up her first camera Marla’s focus has been on telling the intimate stories of people thru her portraits and street photography. Finding beauty in imperfection and understanding we do not see the world in whole but in pieces. Her work is a reflection on how she sees her subjects and in their everyday lives and environments.
